About Polymer Clay / Jewelry Care / FAQs

What is Polymer Clay?
.
Polymer clay is a kind of clay that gets baked in an oven at a low temperature, resulting in a durable, lightweight material. This kind of clay is very strong and flexible. That being said, some floral details with thinner areas of clay are more fragile and should be handled with extra care.
.
My favorite attribute of this material is that it is so lightweight, making it perfect for anything from a small stud to a large statement earring, because it won’t weigh you down! Even the largest pieces of jewelry are comfortable to wear all day.

How Should I Care for Clay Pieces?
.
Polymer clay can be easily scratched, so be careful to store clay jewelry in a place where it won’t be scratched by other pieces of jewelry.
 .
Makeup, dirt, and other debris can be removed from clay components by gently wiping the piece with water or rubbing alcohol on a cloth or Q-tip. Metal components can be cleaned with a jewelry cloth.

Is Your Jewelry Safe For My Sensitive Skin?
.
As someone who personally has very sensitive skin, I choose only the best quality findings to use in my jewelry, and I test the pieces to make sure they don’t give me a reaction. That being said, if you do experience a reaction, I am happy to exchange or accept a return of the jewelry. Feel free to contact me with any concerns about allergies, and we will work it out!
